Check out fastweb.com, not all the scholarships offered require an essay. Also check with your college, they often offer merit based scholarships and departmental scholarships that don't require essays.

good question...i had to go through a lot of trouble to write an essay to a university that i ddn't even get accepted into!

something based on race or other minority status?I am pretty sure all merit-based scholarship require and essay.

A lot of scholarship now requires that students write essays, but some look at your financial situation. Check out fastweb.com if you haven't. Fastweb is good for finding scholarships. It tells you descriptions of what you need to do to apply.
