Will depression lead to insanity?

I would like to asked if depression can lead to insanity or mental problems? .My cousin have suffered depression before and her parents have thought she needs to look for a shrink or be confine in mental center . I wonder if depression can lead to insanity and I would like to asked if how can you know a person is depressed and the one that is suffering from first stage insanity?.

Yes it can. It all depends on the degree of depression. Every one undergoes depression in day to day life but it is not that fatal. It also depends on you how you face to the situation which make you depress. If you cant face those ups and downs and have a weak elf controll you are at higher risk to fall prey to ome mental illness.

Actually depression can lead to insanity but it depends that what is the level of depression like high or low. Also it depends on the age group like an old person can become insane or he may die due to depression.

of course it would i you didn't try to cure and let it rot inside. the person itself has to realize he/ she in depression before we can fix it eh?

Agreed, I think it can lead to insanity but I also believe we all have the power to heal ourselves, especially our minds.
