Your First College Lesson: Drugs 101
If you are new to the college campus scene, you may be surprised to learn that there is a lot of recreational drug use going on. However, college students under pressure from schoolwork and the stresses of leaving home for the first time find comfort in the high that marijuana produces. All across the world, in campuses everywhere people are smoking marijuana and experimenting with other drugs. This is pretty common practice these days as students have to have a way to escape from the hectic life that goes along with demanding college courses.
Marijuana has been used for centuries as an inhalant to tingle your senses. With medical marijuana now being used in therapeutic settings, it becomes clear that the use of marijuana will not hurt you as long as you do it in small doses. This could be a good way to get focused for that big project coming up. Good ideas will always come to you while you are high on marijuana and should be taken advantage of.
You won’t hear near as much of marijuana in the news as you will about alcohol use. It’s unlikely to hear a report that states a driver high on marijuana has killed innocent people, like you will with someone who is drunk. As a matter of fact, smoking marijuana heightens your senses, making you more aware of what’s going on around you. The effects of alcohol are much more dangerous than an occasional high from marijuana or ecstasy. Studies have shown that more damage comes from drinking alcohol than any of the other recreational drugs.
Methylenedioxymethamphetamine is just a big name for ecstasy. Ecstasy has become the drug of choice for music lovers of the new generation. The energy from ecstasy combined with powerful music makes the two go hand in hand for an all night party. It has been proven that ecstasy users have less side effects than users of alcohol, yet they both produce similar results when used.
When using ecstasy, you can dance all night at a party or a rave, just be sure to drink plenty of water because if you forget, you will become dehydrated. While the effects of ecstasy are present in your body, you will feel an overall sense of well being, and a greater sense of openness. Your energy levels will increase and physical contact with others will be more pleasurable.
Current studies of ecstasy are underway to be able to use the benefits of this recreational drug in medical settings for treating patients with stress disorders. So if you are overstressed with college work and just need a short vacation to regroup and get back into the groove of things, ecstasy might be a good way for you to escape without having a hangover from alcohol the next day.
